Understand the connection
SASO’s IECEE national recognition process uses CB certification and test reports while addressing Saudi national requirements. Holding a CB certificate does not, by itself, mean that Saudi national recognition has been issued.
Check whether your product is covered
The scheme applies to specified product categories. Start by checking the current SASO scope against the product, model and intended use. Avoid assuming that every electrical product needs the same approval.
Prepare a consistent application
SASO lists CB test documentation, product identification and other supporting information among its application requirements. Depending on the product, additional approvals can apply.
- Check that CB certificates and reports cover the models being submitted.
- Prepare product photographs, label information and Arabic instructions.
- Review applicant details and any additional applicable requirements.
