Which products are covered?
Annex 1 includes bathroom and kitchen taps, shower mixers and heads, bidet sprays, specified toilets, flushing cisterns, water-flow regulators and flushing urinals. Article 2 covers listed imported and locally manufactured products.
| Product category | Examples | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Taps and mixers | Bathroom and kitchen taps | Match the model and its flow-control configuration to Annex 1. |
| Showers and bidet sprays | Shower mixers, shower heads and bidet sprays | Identify the supplied configuration and any flow restrictor. |
| Toilets and flushing equipment | Specified toilets, flushing cisterns and flushing urinals | Check the exact category and flushing mechanism against Annex 1. |
| Water-flow regulators | Regulators used to control water flow | Identify the regulator and the fixture configuration it supports. |
Product examples are not a complete classification. Read the official text and confirm the applicable scope before making an application.
Check the boundaries
A product using water is not automatically covered. Match its design and function to Annex 1; water-consumption compliance does not replace other applicable safety requirements.
What to review
The regulation sets consumption limits, model evidence and label requirements. Review Articles 4–6 and Annex 1 before arranging tests or printing labels.
GoCertify
Prepare for a product review
GoCertify’s practical starting checklist. The final evidence depends on the product and applicable assessment route.
Create a model list showing whether each item is a tap, shower, spray, toilet or other fixture; include clear photographs.
Match the tested configuration to the supplied model, including any flow restrictor, aerator or flushing mechanism.
Collect the technical sheet, test report, manufacturer details and existing label or certificate, if any. We can review gaps before you commission further work.
Does one test report cover every model in a range?
Do not assume so. Give the reviewer a model comparison and identify changes to the water pathway or flushing mechanism. This helps establish which evidence can support each supplied configuration.
