THE SERVICE
SASO water efficiency label: check your product scope first
The Saudi Water Efficiency Label, described by SASO as the Water Conservation Card, communicates water-consumption performance for sanitary tools covered by the relevant technical regulation. The service concerns permission to use the label on qualifying products.
Start with the exact product type and model range. We help connect each model to its technical data and test evidence, then identify the documents needed for the Saudi application. This is separate from an energy-efficiency label and does not cover every appliance that uses water.
Who this service is for
- Manufacturers and importers of covered taps, mixers and shower products.
- Suppliers of covered toilet and flushing products.
- Businesses checking model-specific water-consumption evidence before applying.

- Supplier declaration of conformity and proposed label or product-marking information.
- Evidence of an effective factory quality-management system or a valid ISO 9001 certificate.
YOUR NEXT STEPS
A clear path forward.
Check the sanitary-ware product scope
Send the product type, use and model range before requesting a quotation. We review whether the water-efficiency route applies and which evidence is available.
Match models to performance evidence
Organise test reports and technical data for the proposed models. Clarify differences and identify any further laboratory work before preparing the file.
Prepare and follow the label application
Support the MANEH application and replies to review questions. Check the approved product details and label conditions before using the issued label.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A little more clarity.
Does every product that uses water need this label?
The scheme covers specified product categories. We check your model against the relevant scope before recommending an application.
Can we use an existing test report?
We review its product coverage, laboratory and test conditions against the applicable requirements. Existing evidence may need updating or supplementing.
Can one model’s results be used for the whole range?
Do not assume all models share the same evidence. Send the range and technical differences so we can review the proposed application grouping.
Is the water efficiency label the same as an energy-efficiency label?
No. They address different performance measures and product requirements. Describe your product and its intended use so we can review the relevant route rather than select a label based only on its name.
What should I send for a water efficiency label quotation?
Send the sanitary-ware type, model list, specifications, product photos and existing water-consumption test reports. Include the manufacturer and importer details and highlight differences between models. We use these to define the review and application support.
What affects the cost and timeline of a WEL application?
The model range, report coverage and need for additional testing determine much of the preparation work. The quotation should separate GoCertify’s support from laboratory and scheme charges. Review questions or missing evidence can affect the schedule.
